PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

REHABILITATION

Orthopaedic

Cairns Total Physiotherapists are experts in retraining or ‘rehabilitating’ clients back to their optimal level of function after surgery or injury.

Rehabilitation includes hands on release work and massage (for any tightness or scarring from injury or surgery) as well as maintaining swelling and pain levels to a minimum during the rehabilitation process.

Our primary aim is to progress from basic early exercises for range of motion and strength to specific activities required to play a particular sport or to return to work.

Neurological

Cairns Total Physiotherapy’s Therapists also provide professional care of those needing rehabilitation after a brain injury or stroke. There are also other types of nerve injuries that we can cater for.

Our focus is on optimal functioning of our clients, especially the gait retraining and getting in and around the home and community as best they can.

We prefer to enable our clients able to get out into the community and focus on the occupational health and wellbeing of the patient.

Occupational

Rehabilitation after an injury at work or one that has kept a person from working is very important. Injuries vary in severity but many people who have injured themselves and have to take time off work require rehabilitation to help them return to normal function or as optimal functioning as possible.

Cairns Total Physiotherapy works with the employee to optimize their recovery, develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and function throughout the return to work process.
