Telehealth consultations at Cairns Total Physio provide a convenient and effective way to access physiotherapy and exercise physiology services when you’re unable to attend the clinic in person.

Delivered via secure video call using our practice software Cliniko, telehealth allows you to connect with your clinician from your home, workplace, or while travelling — helping you stay on track with your rehabilitation and continue progressing toward your goals.

This service is particularly useful for patients living in remote areas (such as Cape York), those travelling, or anyone needing flexible access to care.

What to expect from a telehealth appointment

Telehealth consultations are delivered as one-on-one sessions with your physiotherapist or exercise physiologist.

Your appointment will include:

  • Discussion of your symptoms, history and goals
  • Guided movement assessment via video
  • Advice and education specific to your condition
  • A structured exercise and management plan

Where appropriate, your clinician will guide you through exercises in real time to ensure correct technique and progression.

Telehealth can also play an important role in early post‑operative care, particularly in the first 1–2 weeks following surgery, where guidance, reassurance and safe progression are important before returning to clinic-based rehabilitation.

  • Ongoing communication with your clinician

This ensures you have a clear understanding of your exercises and can continue your rehabilitation confidently between sessions.

  • Must be arranged via telephone through our reception team
