OUR STORY
Cairns Total Physio is a dynamic and progressive company made up of a dedicated team of skilled health professionals and support staff. Our therapists strive for excellence in client care by providing a caring environment to guide you towards your health goals.
We pride ourselves on a fresh and energetic approach to healthcare. Our therapists utilise the latest knowledge and skills, allowing us to offer effective, results-oriented and value for money service. Each therapist is skilled in all aspects of their health field and also hold additional qualifications in their special areas of interest.
Cairns Total Physio is owned and operated by Cairns locals, Tom Maher and Tim Lowcock. The business now employs 15 Physiotherapists, four Exercise Physiologists, three Massage Therapists and a Provisional Psychologist across four locations in Cairns and the Tablelands. The team at Cairns Total Physio are all dedicated to optimising health, promoting active living and encouraging sport participation. They practice what they preach, by participating in a variety of sport endeavours and leading active, healthy lifestyles.
Our Team
Tom is a Director of Cairns Total Physio. He has been the Head Physiotherapist for the Cairns Taipans since 2005. Special Interests: Sports, Musculoskeletal Injuries - Knees, Hips, Shoulders. Occupational and Worksite Physio.
Tim is a Director of Cairns Total Physio. Special interests: sporting injuries, knee and ACL rehabilitation, post-operative shoulder rehabilitation and strength and conditioning. Cairns Taipans Physiotherapist.
Julie is an APA Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist and has completed a Diploma of Yoga Teaching. Julie’s special interests include adolescent injuries, sports injuries, orthopaedic surgery rehabilitation and yoga.
Carlos graduated from JCU in 2013 and has been working at CTP since 2018. Special Interests: sporting injuries related to running, swimming and football and rehabilitation areas of interest for ankle, shoulder, lower back as well as tendon injuries.
Victoria has been working at CTP since 2007. Special interests: neck and lower back pain, knee rehabilitation.
Sheryl started her career as a Physio in 2001, she began working with Cairns Total Physio in 2017. Special Interests: neck pain and headaches, lumbar spine/pelvis/hip. Sheryl is our Pilates Class Instructor.
Lachlan graduated from UQ in 2016 and has been working at CTP since 2021. Special interests: sports physio, post-op; ACL, shoulder and ankle surgery, Neurological conditions, strokes, brain injuries, hydrotherapy
Lisa graduated from JCU in Townsville and has been working with CTP since 2021. Special Interests: Vertigo, Shoulder pain, ankle rehab, jaw pain, dry needling and post op knee rehabilitation.
Braydn graduated from Griffith university and has been working at CTP since 2022. Special Interests: sporting injuries, lower limb injuries, post-op rehab, shoulders, stroke rehab
Jamie graduated from CQU in 2020 and started with the CTP team in 2022. Jamie's clinical interests include: Neck and lower back pain, dry needling, lower limb post-operative and sports injury rehabilitation, neurological conditions with special interest in functional neurological disorder.
Ben graduated from CQU in 2022 and started with the CTP team in 2023. Ben enjoys treating a wide range of conditions in people from all walks of life.
Sandy graduated from LaTrobe University Melbourne in 2021 and started working at CTP in 2023. CURRENTLY ON MAT LEAVE
Kylie is a community based physio and has been working at CTP since 2021
Sarah is our Exercise Physiologist based in Mareeba. Special interests: Elderly Group Exercise, lower limb rehab
Will began work with CTP in 2022. He has been an Exercise Physiologist since 2020. Interests: Strength and Conditioning for sports. Managing chronic conditions.

Leisa has been a remedial massage therapist since 2005. She began work with CTP in 2020.
Linzi has been a massage therapist at CTP since 2022.
Susan has been a massage therapist at CTP since 2023.

Our clinics are open Monday to Friday plus Saturdays at our central hub on Mulgrave Road so call our reception team to see which clinic is closest to you.
