Tim Lowcock

Tim joined the Cairns Total Physio team in late 2010, upon completion of his degree at James Cook University, Townsville. In 2019, he transitioned to Director of Cairns Total Physio, alongside Tom Maher.
Tim has relished the chance to work at various levels of elite sport; with the Northern Pride Rugby League, as their Head Physio from 2011 to 2019, the Cairns Taipans, as Team Physiotherapist since 2013, and various other sporting teams including the Australian Boomers, Queensland Reds, Sydney Swans, La Laguna Tenerife & Patty Mills, to name a few.
Tim works very closely with his patients to achieve optimal outcomes, to do this he believes in a thorough and in-depth initial consultation to understand all the factors associated with the patient’s story. He then educates the patient on his findings and works with his patients to set goals relatable to the individual. Tim believes in reducing fear around the patient’s injury, promoting confidence in the body through strengthening and encourages patients to adopt self management strategies and avoid reliance on passive treatments.
