Senior Physiotherapist

Senior Physiotherapist, Jamie Lineburg graduated with Honours in 2020 and joined the team at Cairns Total Physio in 2022.

Jamie enjoys working with a wide range of patients, helping people move better, feel stronger, and get back to the activities that matter most to them โ€” whether thatโ€™s sport, work, or daily life.

Clinically, Jamie commonly works with:

  • Sporting injuries, particularly ankle and knee injuries
  • Post-operative rehabilitation for ankle and knee injuries (ACL and meniscus injuries)
  • Neck and back pain
  • Headaches, including neck-related headaches
  • Whiplash injuries

Jamie takes a practical, patient-centred approach to physiotherapy, focusing on understanding the root cause of pain or movement limitations rather than just treating symptoms. His treatment sessions may include a combination of hands-on therapy, dry needling, targeted exercise, and education, with an emphasis on clear communication and achievable progress. Jamie also stays in regular contact with his patients, with regular phone and email follow-ups.

In clinic, Jamie regularly utilises objective assessment and rehabilitation tools such as VALD ForceDecks, VALD Dynamo (dynamometry), and video movement analysis to guide rehabilitation and track progress over time.

Outside of work, Jamie enjoys spending time with his partner, family and friends, getting out on the reef boating, fishing and diving, camping with mates, or heading out for a round of golf.
