Emma Culic, is a Physiotherapist working across our Westcourt and Smithfield clinics at Cairns Total Physio since 2025.

Emma holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from James Cook University (graduated 2024). She is an AHPRA-registered Physiotherapist and a current member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association. Emma has also completed Dry Needling Level 1 and 2 training and holds a Certificate III in Fitness, supporting her active and exercise-focused approach to rehabilitation.

Clinically, Emma commonly supports people with:

  • Neck pain and headaches, including cervicogenic presentations
  • Ankle injuries and instability
  • Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) pain and dysfunction
  • Shoulder, hip, knee and lower back pain
  • Mobility, balance and strength training in older adults

Emma takes a personalised and patient‑centred approach to physiotherapy. She focuses on building strong relationships with patients to ensure they feel supported throughout their recovery. Her treatment approach combines hands‑on manual therapy with targeted exercise rehabilitation to address both immediate symptoms and long-term function.

Emma places strong emphasis on improving strength, stability and overall movement quality, helping reduce recurrence of symptoms and supporting sustainable, long-term outcomes. She also values educating patients so they feel confident managing their condition beyond the clinic.

In clinic, Emma has experience using VALD dynamometry for strength testing, as well as working with the AlterG Anti‑Gravity Treadmill. She has also been trained in VALD force plates and continues to develop her skills in objective assessment and rehabilitation technologies.

Outside of the clinic, Emma enjoys staying active through dance, Muay Thai and gym training. She also enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with family and friends, and is a long-time supporter of the Cairns Taipans.
