Tim Lowcock

Tim joined the Cairns Total Physio team in late 2010, upon completion of his degree at James Cook University, Townsville. Tim has a general interest in lower limb conditions, particularly involving knees and ankles, as well as treating complex lower back pain patients. Tim has relished the chance to work closely with the Northern Pride Rugby League, having worked with them since 2011 and has been their official Physio since 2013. Tim also assists the Cairns Taipans Basketball.
Tim works very closely with his patients to achieve optimal outcomes, to do this he believes in a thorough and in-depth initial consultation to understand all the factors associated with the patient’s story. He then educates the patient on his findings and works with his patients to set goals relatable to the individual. Tim believes in reducing fear around the patient’s injury, promoting confidence in the body through strengthening and encourages patients to adopt self management strategies and avoid reliance on passive treatments.
